Science Lab: Water quality testing
How can we investigate the quality of different water sources?
Students in Teacher Chris’s M2 Science class investigated water quality by using a water testing kit to compare different water samples, including pond water, rainwater, tap water, and purified water. Students tested each sample for nitrate, nitrite, chlorine (Cl₂), total hardness, total alkalinity, carbonate, and pH. By comparing the test results from different water sources, students explored how the chemical properties of water can vary depending on its source. This hands-on investigation helped students develop practical testing skills and understand how scientific measurements can be used to assess and compare water quality.
