Science Lab: Titration
Students in Teacher Cherise’s M6 Science class learned how to determine the concentration of an unknown NaOH solution through an acid–base titration. Using hydrochloric acid (HCl) of known concentration and an indicator, students carefully added the acid to the NaOH solution and observed the color change to determine the end point of the titration. They recorded their results and used the titration data to calculate the concentration of the unknown NaOH solution. Through this hands-on practical, students developed essential titration skills while learning how indicators can be used to identify the end point of a neutralization reaction
