Students in Teacher Chris’s EP M2 Science class investigated rock classification through a hands-on observation activity. Students examined different rock samples and assessed their grain (crystal size), layering or banding, texture, and hardness. Using these observations, they classified each rock and explained their reasoning with evidence from their findings. Students then applied their observations to answer the analysis questions in the worksheet, strengthening their ability to classify rocks based on observable characteristics and scientific evidence.
