Assumption College Student Wins First Runner-Up at Thailand Open Go Championship

  Paphangkorn Tangsoontornkij, EP-M.2/2 student of Assumption College, won the First Runner-Up Award in the Low Kyu category at the 28th Thailand Open Go Championship. The competition was held on August 29–30, 2026, at Thara Park Chaeng Watthana. The Thailand Open Go Championship is one of the oldest and most prestigious Go competitions in Thailand. Organized by the Go Association of Thailand, the tournament has been held continuously for 28 years and attracts a large number of Go players from across the country.

Paphangkorn’s outstanding performance and dedication earned him a well-deserved First Runner-Up Award, bringing pride to himself, his family, and Assumption College.
