Pig Heart Dissection EP-M.2
Students in Teacher James’ EP-M.2 Universal Science 3 class participated in a hands-on pig heart dissection to explore the structure and function of the human circulatory system. Using scissors and forceps, they carefully examined external and internal features such as veins, arteries, and heart chambers, making real-time observations about texture, appearance, and structure. Students also conducted a pulse experiment measuring their resting and post-exercise heart rates to see how the body responds to activity. By connecting anatomical structure with real physiological function, this interactive lab gave students a deeper understanding of how the heart works and reinforced their learning through direct observation and scientific inquiry.
