Egg Density Challenge
Students in Teacher Nicholas’s EP-M.1 Supplementary Science 2 and EP-M.2 Supplementary Science 3 classes took on the Egg Density Challenge an exciting and hands-on experiment exploring the relationship between density and buoyancy. The challenge began with students placing an egg in plain water, where it sank. They then added salt to the water, gradually increasing its density until the egg floated. For the final task, students carefully layered fresh water over saltwater and succeeded in making the egg float mid-cup, balanced between the two layers. This fun and visual experiment helped students understand key scientific concepts in a memorable way, encouraging critical thinking, curiosity, and real-world application through active learning
