EPAC Takes Its EP-M1 and EP-M2 Students on a Cross-Curricular Field Trip to Nakorn Prathom

On the 16th and 17th of June 2016, the English Program of Assumption College hosted an event called “Cross-Curricular Field Trip Activities 2016” for our EP-M1 and EP-M2 students. The activities were integrated from all content groups. In addition, on the first day our students participated in activities at the “Samphran Elephant Grounds & Zoo”. The purposes of these activities were to help our students learn about Biodiversity and Thai History through the elephant fighting show. This place held a lot of activities conforming to the indicators of the Ministry of Education in various subjects such as Social Studies and Science.

During the evening segment of the program, we had a cross-curricular, integrated activity at the St. Joseph’s School Camp (Nakorn Prathom Province), the focal point of which was making an earth surface area model. This activity was led by our foreign teachers, the purpose of which was to inspire the students to do a related activity in teams, corresponding to several aspects of knowledge (English, Mathematics, Science and Occupational Works).

On the second day, our students participated in public service activities which were lead by Master Niwach. We took our students to the Camillion Social Center Sampran (Nakorn Prathom Province) to meet the elderly, which is a way to guide our students in the way of Thai culture. When all activities were finished, the students arrived back at school through the care of our EPAC teachers who were on duty for this camp.

These field trips are always memorable for both students and staff, and we greatly appreciate all of the preparation and support from all - which made this event possible!
